Delivery Time and Downtime: Why This Comes Before Price for Me
My job often involves urgent equipment requests. I get called after a machine stops or after a deadline moves up.
In December 2024, a small yard in Arizona called me at 8 p.m. about a failed three-phase motor on the machine they relied on. Consider an interlocking clay block making machine or brick moulding machines if:
- Your production is under 3,000 blocks per day, or you move from project to project.
- You plan to use local soil or need lower cement content for the project.
- Your team consists of local workers without a specialist maintenance department.
- You need equipment running this month, not after a three-month import order.
Hollow block production does not automatically point to either option. A compact hollow block making machine can be a smart start. But if hollow concrete block is going to be your main product for years, an automatic line is a more credible long-term answer.
Here is my honest take: define your order book first. Machine price matters, but the real cost is a machine that does not fit your demand, your labor, or your delivery timing. Buy for the project you have, not the one you want to brag about.
